In collaboration with Greenspan Projects, Wessex Planning were engaged by Holiday Inn to obtain planning permission for a high ropes course and a 18 hole adventure golf course, located in ancient woodland to the rear of the existing hotel.

The main constraints to development were a woodland tree protection order and the woodland ecology.

Using Wessex Planning’s network of professional ecologists and arboriculturalists to consider the site constraints, the Council’s Tree and Ecology Officers’ concerns were addressed, allowing planning permission to be granted.

A fantastic outcome for Holiday Inn, enabling the provision of a high quality leisure facility for the enjoyment of their clients and the wider community of Corby.
