Wessex Planning was approached by our Client to provide planning advice and support in relation to a very unusual proposal involving the siting of part of a decommissioned Boeing 737 aircraft for use as a holiday let.
Located within the countryside, the key planning constraints were the visual impact on the countryside and the character of the area.
A planning application was duly submitted to the LPA, supported by our Planning, Design and Access statement which demonstrated that the proposals, despite their eccentricity, were in accord with all relevant policies of the Local Plan, and that the siting of the decommissioned aircraft would not have an adverse impact upon the character of the surrounding area.
Planning permission was granted, allowing visitors to enjoy this very unique holiday let.
