Having been instructed by the Client, following a negatively received pre-application enquiry submitted by others, Wessex Planning engaged with the Client’s new architect to address the reasons behind the lack of initial support from the LPA.
The site constraints included local plan policy limiting the increase in size of a replacement dwelling within the conservation area, and the impact of the proposals on the character of the area.
The planning application was submitted. Continued liaison with the case officer and the local Design Review Panel resulted in a revised design being submitted. This new design was fully supported by the case officer and the Planning Committee, with permission being granted.
Needless to say, our client was delighted and is now able to continue to live within this sought-after residential area.
